Farewell party

We had our farewell - goin' cruisin' party on Friday night. Unfortunately the winds were not cooperating and we were rolling however that did not dampen the spirit. It was nice to have a drink with friends and catch up on the activities of the summer that we missed. At the party we collected the books, crafts, clothes and gifts for the kids in the Bahamas.  The teachers and students will be thrilled. It won’t go to one school but rather we’ll spread them out to all of the school in the Exuma Islands that we visit. Two of our favourite islands are Little Farmers which has only 8 kids and Black Point Settlement which have about 60 kids in the school. These villages are always happy to see us and welcome us into their community, so we are glad that we can offer them gifts that all the children will benefit greatly from. A big thank you to all those that contributed and continue to drop off supplies - we love you guys!  I will take pictures at the schools in mid December and hopefully post them here.

From our party to another boat party for a "big sister "of ours. We took the night off and drove to Midland yesterday to help celebrate the 60th birthday of Motor Vessel Prescotont. She is a 117 foot beautifully restored tug owned by our friends Paul & Carol  and she is definitely a prize to behold. Happy Birthday Prescotont - may you have another 80 years afloat!

Now time for the last minute planning details -  weather, tide table, meal planning. Oh this is so much fun.
